Our final project for our ‘Film, TV, and Games’ class was to score to a short film. We went through the process of composing for a film to gain experience on how it might be like to work with a director. First we put the project up for tender; we were to compose a short scene of our chosen film in order to be hired for the job. Second, we went through the spotting process with our professor. As we go through the movie he discusses which scenes need cues and the type of musical concept he would like to see in that particular cue and we were to bring it to fruition. Next, we went through multiple passes and approval processes changing and critiquing music to the visual image as if we were working with a director. Finally, we presented the final work as if we finished the film as a final product. This is the final score with synchronized with the film.
